It is a blessing in disguise.

Mr ong teck guan's story :

You know there was two angels, old and young.
They went to stay with a rich family, but they treated the angels badly.
They slept at the cave, and realised that there is a hole when they wake up.
The old angel went to seal the hole. The young angel asked why, the old angel replied : things are not what it seems to be.

Next day, they went to stay with a poor but generous couple, next day, the cow that the couple used to rely on for survival died. The couple was crying while the young angel was saying to the old angel: first, why do you seal the hole for the selfish rich people and yet fail to help the generous couple protect the cow from its death?

The old angel said: I sealed the hole, because the hole leads to many jewels. Yet, as for the cow. It was actually the death angel that came and wanting to took the life of the poor, generous wife. But i went to fight with the death angel to save the poor generous wife's life but to sacrifise the cow's life.

Moral: A disaster can be a blessing in disguise.
